Audio Technica releases ATH-W1000X and ATH-ES10

October 16, 2009 |  by Mike  |  Blog

Audio Technica just released a a new W-series and ES-series headphones. The full-size W1000X and the portable ES10 both uses a whopping 53mm driver. Dude, that’s a 53m driver in a portable headphone!

In the Audio-Technica tradition, the W1000X “Grandioso” has a wooden housing, this time using black cherry wood. The ES10, however, comes with a fancy titanium housing! Though both utilizes a 53mm driver, it seems that the drivers are different. The W1000X uses a 6N-OFC voice coil, while the ES10 uses OFC Bobbin winding voice coil.
