Had a listen to the KGSS and the WooAudio 6 with PDPS and Sophia Princess today. It wasn’t under ideal conditions, so I’ll just share the photos today. The headphone was a Koss ESP-950 reterminated to a Stax connector, which I reviewed a little while ago. Hopefully we can get a review done in the near future.
In addition to that, we also had a Stax Lambda (non Pro) driven from an SRD-7 connected to a vintage Pioneer receiver. What’s weird is that the vintage Pioneer receiver drives the Lambda much better than when I last heard that combo through the Balanced Beta22. I suspect that we didn’t do the wiring to the Balanced Beta22 correctly.
Finally, the ESI Dr.DACs have arrived, both the desktop Dr.DAC and the Dr.DAC Nano. So, keep in touch for a review for the latest DACs from ESI prime. In the meantime, here is the product page from ESI: http://www.esi-audio.com/products/drdacprime/,
Oh, we are also picking up a black version SPL Phonitor, an SPL Auditor, a Lavry DA11 next week.
We also have gathered quite a collection of AKGs for a review: K400, K401, K500, K501, K701. We just need a K601 to complete the round-up. AKG did make a K301, but we don’t know where we can get a copy at the moment. Let me know if you have one!
Lastly, a bunch of Superlux headphones is also being in transit on the way to our review room.
