HIFIMAN HM-700 (16GB) & RE-400B GIVEAWAY!! – CLOSED

Headfonia is honored to welcome HIFIMAN as a new site advertizer, starting today.

To celebrate this, Hifiman donated us a HM-700 (16GB) Portable Player and RE-400B IEM combo to giveaway to our readers!

All you need to do is enter the contest below and the lucky winner will be chosen by random.org. It’s that easy! For each new participant that enters via your personal link on Twitter, Google+ or Facebook, you get an extra chance to win!  Make sure you share/use the referrer link! (You have to copy the link to Facebook manually though).

The contest is worldwide but you need to be at least 18 years or older to enter the contest. You will need to use a real email address or we won’t be able to contact the winner.

The winner will be contacted in the days after the contest closes on October 15. The prize will be sent directly by Hifiman and neither Headfonia and Hifiman are responsible for covering any additional costs related to sending the prize (such as customs costs or any other extra costs). The winner will have to cover these costs himself. In case a wrong or fake email address was given or the winner is under 18, Headfonia and Hifiman will select a new winner at random. Do check all the contest rules below the subscription form, by participating you agree to these rules.

Good luck and please like us and Hifiman on Facebook. Don’t forget to subscribe to our Monthly Newsletter

What can I do to increase the entry? Still confuse with the rules

Share the giveaway using your personal referer. If someoen from your friends signs up with your referer you get an extra entry. It’s pretty straightforward

    Ack… L… I think “celibrate” means a totally different thing…

I think you’re trying to say I did a typo in “Celebrate” ?

      • Reply October 6, 2014

        tre54321

Yep! Haha. I was reading through and was like… “Isn’t celibrate an organisation which encourages celibacy…”

We are all celibate here at Headfonia. That’s the sacrifice we make 😉

I have a friend who wants to be a Catholic priest, but he is concerned about the celibate thing. So I showed him a secret book (not approved by the church), where a monk was re-translating some ancient text that reads ‘celibate’ in the popular current translations. And sure enough, the original language said ‘celibrate’. So you can see what happens with one little slip of the pen…

            Or… It could be L’s Freudian slip……… 😛

The contest ended yesterday with 1368 people that joined. Together they have 1725 chances to win. Quite the nice result. I’m happy.

I will let Random.org draw the winner later and I’ll announce the winner next week on tuesday!.

Thanks everyone and good luck. I hope one of the regular readers wins it!

Whoever wins should try to play some 16/44 FLAC files ripped from CD by EAC. The HM700 can’t play about 1/3 of my CD rips (those ripped with EAC). These files play fine on the AK100, AK240, X1, X3, X5, DX50, DX90, and HM-901 and show the correct bit depth and frequency on all of those players. I contacted HIFIMAN support (with sample file) and they acknowledged the issue and refuse to fix it. Their reasoning was that their engineer’s time is much more valuable than their customer’s time. They suggested that I convert the files to WAV and back. Customer support at it’s finest!
