Superlux HD662B Quickfacts

What it is:
A full size, closed, circumaural headphone.

Build and ergonomics:
The exterior design mimics AKG’s K271, albeit with less expensive materials. Comfort and fit is still very good. Synthetic pads are soft and offers very good isolation, though clamping force can be a little excessive.

Sound:
Very detailed and transparent sounding cans. Very good treble, plenty of bass. Midrange is a little recessed though. Big soundstage, good separation, overall good extension. Works very well for classical, but the treble does tend to be sibilant, and the recessed midrange doesn’t work well for mainstream music.
