Justin just updated the enormous Pico Slim pre-order thread at Head-Fi with an internal snapshot of the amplifier.

As we know, the Pico Slim is the successor the highly popular Pico line of portable amplifiers of HeadAmp. The Pico Slim’s petite figure at 3″ x 1.75″ x 0.4″ coupled with a digital potentiometer makes it an attractive companion for IEM users. We at Headfonia are looking forward to review this unit once it comes to our possession.
For more information regarding the pre-order procedure, please tune in to the HeadAmp sponsored thread at Head-Fi.

It’s not THE successor of the original Pico. Pico Slim is designed for IEM while the original Pico Amp (w/DAC) is designed for about everything. The ORIGINAL Pico also has a lot larger voltage swing (2 cell 8.4V li-poly battery) that the Pico Slim (4.2V) which should be more than sufficient to drive any IEM on the market. The Pico DAC is one if not the best USB DAC in the market, at least specs wise.
Yep. Good correction there. Just because something is newer doesn’t always mean it’s a “successor”.
