Shortly after that they expanded into the USA and established their second headquarters in San Diego, California. The company’s aim is to offer premium quality audio devices at mid-range prices. They have been taking on big players of the audio industry in global scale. They have received multiple awards for their products in the past from notable sources such as iF, Reddot & CES. Packaging & Accessories

1MORE’s premium neckband IEM comes with a white and gray foldable hard box. Features and specifications are listed on the box and the box itself is quite informative. 1MORE also did not forget to mention the awards and certifications here. When you open the box, you see sketches of the product on the inner flap along with a note from Luca Bignardi. He is 1MORE’s lead sound engineer and he is the man behind the tuning of this particular IEM.

Moving on to the accessories, you get different sizes of tips, 4 to be exact. 1MORE also supplies you with a 3.5mm to USB-C adapter and another USB-A to USB-C adapter for charging the device. Lastly, you get a brilliant carbon fiber-ish pouch to safely carry your neckband around. The unboxing process feels quite premium and a little peek inside to the engineer’s head is always nice from the consumer point of view.

Build & Design

The Dual Driver ANC Pro (what a name! DDAP from here on) features a black design with red accents. The elastic part of the neckband is soft silicone and feels really smooth in hand and also around the neck. I am not used to neckband products but using the DDAP was a pleasant experience. I used it everyday for multiple weeks and never had any comfort issues. The IEMs have magnets on the back end of their housing and they clamp together when you’re not using them. This solution is much better than earphones hanging freely when you’re moving around.

From the first moment you hold the DDAP in your hands, you feel that it is a well-built product. The earphones themselves are mostly metal, and their glossy black finish and red ring complements the rest of the neckband nicely. The housing is not big like Sony’s WI-1000XM2’s and that’s great. The earphones are quite light as well, around 7 grams each. These IEMs have a unique, short & oval nozzles and I found out that you can use the traditional wide bore ear tips with these if you like. My JVC Spiral Dots tips fit perfectly so don’t worry about the DDAP having a different nozzle structure.

The buttons on the neckband are perfect, not too stiff, not too light. At first I had trouble remembering their locations but then I quickly got used to them. Using the buttons on the neck band, it is possible to control the volume, call your assistant, answer/hang up or reject a phone call, skip to the next or the previous song and toggle ANC on and off. To wrap-up the build section, these are built very nicely and I am sure they will be good to go for years to come.

Features & Stability

1MORE’s feature-packed neckband wireless in-ears have a lot to offer. Most important being the hybrid active noise cancelling technology. 1MORE took the active noise cancelling business one step further and came up with a solution that provides up to 35 dB of sound suppression. That is a lot and as far as my testing goes, it is mighty impressive. I have a hand-built computer with 12 fans running simultaneously at around 1800 rpm. This basically means that my workshop is not the best option when it comes to quiet environments. On another note, it is the perfect place to test out ANC gear.

1MORE’s DDAP successfully blocks out all my fan noise, my AC’s noise. If you take it out in a coffee shop, you’ll hear that it blocks out almost as much as the ANC industry giants. DDAP has 2 microphones on each unit. These are feedforward and feedback active noise cancelling microphones to catch both environmental and in-ear noises to pin-out exactly which frequencies to reduce. This is a very impressive technology for a $149 USD wireless device. This is why many people choose 1MORE products: that sweet price to performance ratio. The DDAP also comes with a wind noise reduction mode. I haven’t been able to test it extensively because it has been a dry and calm couple of weeks but my limited car-wind-test yielded good results. Let’s talk about codecs.
