Chord Electronics
Chord is another great brand that always brings top quality products to the market and they had a few premieres at the show.
We’re more interested in the headphone related gear of course and there we can report the launch of the Hugo TT 2
Next to that hey of course brought alot of other goodies such as the Qutest, the Hugo 2, the Poly, etc
One amp that keeps impressing me time after time is the DAVE
CIEM
Year after year the number of CIEM companies at the show keep increasing. The ciem addict that I am, that’s perfectly fine with me. More soon on HFN
Campfire Audio
Denon
A couple of my friends are big Denon fans, and mostly the good old D7000 gets their approval. That model has been discontinued though, but the new gear is not bad either.
Effect Audio
It was the first time our friends from EA made the trip to Munich and they brought their most popular IEM cables as well as their brand new Janus cable.
I personally always tend to use their Leonidas and Horus cables with my IEMs, but I can’t wait to hear the new Janus cables.
The Effect Audio team has an eye for new technologies and detail and that shows.
Feliks Audio
They weren’t at the show but I did spot their Euforia amplifier several times at other booths, such as with Focal
I’ve been listening to the Euforia for a few weeks now and all I can say is that I’m impressed. Review soon!
Fidue
And then there’s the almost last page of the first part of the report RIGHT HERE.

Hey Lieven, I have been searching for comparisons of Astell&Kern SR15 and the AK70ii. Did you get a chance to try the SR15? If yes, how is it compared to the AK70ii?
Thanks!
Lieven
I only quickly got to listen to it in Munich. the SR15 samples aren’t available yet so I4m waiting for it just like everyone else. Soon I hope 🙂

How was your first impression of the SR15? I’m actually considering to buy a DAP instead of upgrading my IEM.
Currently, I’m using a Shure SE215SPE with AresII Cable,V-MODA Crossfade Wireless, and ATH-M50. Do you think buying a DAP will be more beneficial than buying a $500 – $1000 IEM?
