PlusSound Dual Copper
The new Dual Copper cable is a new take on copper cables, combining pure copper and palladium-plated copper materials. During the research and development of these two metals, PS found new ways to maximize spacing within the standard 26AWG. In addition to refining the diameter across the strand, plating, and insulation materials, they incorporated new hybrid cores consisting of wire and dampening.
According to PS, this improved conductivity while reducing mechanical vibrations. Another benefit of hybrid cores is the improvement in the overall feel and flexibility of the build, making it the softest cable they have designed thus far.
Dual-Copper offers one of the most unique copper sound you will hear and pairs well with various IEMs and full-size headphones on the market.

Package
Opening a PS package is always a good experience. The Dual Copper is delivered in a sleek black box with a reflective purple sticker. The box contains a plexiglass window that reveals the cable’s origin – it was designed and handmade in LA, California.
The cable is nestled in a leather pouch inside the box, which is a luxurious touch. The package includes additional accessories like a cleaning cloth, a leather strap, and a warranty card. Except for the leather cable binder, all the accessories bear PlusSound’s logo. Overall, the unboxing experience is top-notch.
Build Quality and Ergonomics
As usual from PlusSound, the new dual copper has excellent quality and build. The cable is nicely braided and has good consistency. It’s very soft, and indeed, it’s the smoothest I’ve experienced from PlusSound. The hardware, on the other hand, is excellent. My set came with all black/gold accents with 2-pin connectors and a 4.4 mm termination. The 2-pin connectors have to go with logos facing inwards, as the screws have to go out, contrary to many other manufacturers.
The 4.4m plug is the highlight of the PS cables, as it snugly fits any 4.4 output. The quality and finish are excellent. Also, there’s no visible heat shrink from plastic or any other flexible material. Instead, the 2-pin connectors and the plug are finished with aluminium rings, making the cable look sharp and clean. The Y-split and chin slider on the cables are also made of aluminium. Overall, the cable is fantastic in terms of build and design.
The new dual copper cable has excellent ergonomics; it feels very comfortable in the hand and around the ears. This is the cable to choose if you want a high-quality copper cable without compromising comfort. In terms of comfort, it exceeded my expectations, as you don’t feel much weight while using it. Another positive aspect is the impressive flexibility. Microphonics are very low, and it’s comfortable around the ears. This is the best balance between sound quality, functionality, and ergonomics.
Sound
The new PlusSound Dual Copper is an outstanding cable regarding sound benefits, delivering impressive bass, rich mids, and clear treble. Unlike typical copper cables focusing solely on bass quantity, impact, or mid-range fullness, the Dual Copper offers excellent resolution, detail, transparency, and soundstage.
In my view, the palladium-plated copper is what sets it apart. It combines copper’s classic warmth and richness with enhanced technical performance, surpassing the capabilities of many stock cables included with IEMs. The imaging is particularly excellent, and what’s truly remarkable is its clarity—something rarely found in copper cables.
The Dual Copper cable is remarkable because it adds extra weight and body to the sound without sacrificing detail, clarity, or soundstage/imaging. It strikes a perfect balance for those with IEMs who need more extraordinary richness and impact. The Dual Copper beautifully fills that need.
What stands out is how it enhances body and bass impact without going overboard. It remains delicate and nuanced, providing a richer timbre and fuller sound while maintaining an elegant and controlled presentation. The added bass is impactful yet refined, avoiding excessive or bloated characteristics.
