Burson
A lot of people say it’s been quiet around the Australian brand but they in fact have been releasing several new products like the Virtuoso, Lycan and Conductor V2, Conductor Air, …
Burson was actually one of the very first to make an amp with a see-through cover, LEDs included
CustomArt & Lime Ears
Both Polish companies are experts in making custom inear monitors and we’ve reviewed units of both companies here and here.
Lime Ears was mostly showing of their TOTL unit, the Aether while CA was showing the Fibae technology to the world
With the Fibae technology it won’t matter what DAP or source you will be using. These 4 and 6.5Ohm units (if I’m not mistaken) will sound exactly the same no matter the source. The 4-driver especially sounded very good!
Canjam & The Community
Next to all the boots, Canjam Europe is also a place where you can follow lectures or just hang out with like minded personal audio fans, as long as you keep down the volume
In the Headfonia Community Area I found a couple of very normal and interesting things. From mini tube amps to full sized solid state setups, it was all there. Even modded headphones!
I have one of these miniature Bravo amps at home somewhere. Stock they aren’t that great but these are easy to mod and will sound surprisingly that way.
Of course someone had to bring a self made Objective 2 amplifier to the party.
Bringing a full sized (huge) Schiit desktop setup to Canjam? No problem at all for these guys. I listened to the setup with a modded and normal HD800 and while it sounded good, it didn’t really seduce me.
It’s always fun to see fans modifying classic headphones of which the Sennheiser HD600 is one. I’ll talk about his modded HD800 later in the article under the Sennheiser gear.
The guys from Oriolus who were also in the community area even brought this amp featuring a next generation Vacuum Tube. Interesting!
And this is the famous Dimitri from Musica Acoustics. A very nice and incredibly motivated guy who loves his camera and Belgian waffles. He’ll know what I’m talking about.
Fischer Amps
The German FA is a very versatile company. Besides being a pro technician at concerts they are one of the most famous Ultimate Ears dealers. But that’s not all, thay also developed their own amp for on stage use and they even have their own series of universal inear monitors for both pros and consumers.
I held and tested this amp. You could drop it a dozen times in a row and it would still work perfectly. Deutsche Gründlichkeit!
Oh, and they have a great sense of humor!
That’s it for Part One of the Canjam Europe 2016 picture Report, Click here for Part 2 and 3 once they’re published!
See you back tomorrow for Part 2!

Did you get a chance to try out the new Oriolus Mellianus / Forsteni and compare them to the current ones? Any ideas on the price tag on the Mellianus?

Nice photos Lieven. Either you changed the camera or you tweaked the settings in the camera or with a editing SW, cause photos are crisp and clear, exposure, shadows have been enhanced, along with lens correction, good job.
Lot of new stuff, which is nice to see. Will be waiting for Part 2.
Cheers!!
Lieven
Same camera Barun. I must have gotten better at photoshop 😉
Part Two is now online!
Rasmus Horn
So nice to see the pictures and read the impressions. I missed being there this year but I couldn’t make it. I am looking forward to read more about the new 8-driver IEM from InEar.

AND the new Meier Soul amplifier… wow!!! I wish I could have listened to that one.

Haha! My old Lime Ears 🙂 Good to know they are doing good!
