Specifications
For the nit-picker and nerdy ones here, I’m giving the full specs and technical sheets . For everyone else, you can just go to the next page to see how the Simgot EM3 performs.
EN700 Driver “enhanced edition”
At the heart of the Simgot EM3, you find the same dynamic driver used in the EN700 Pro. It boasts impressive features such as :
- large 10mm diaphragm made of polymer compound titanium-plated diaphragm
- wide frequency response, from 15Hz to 40kHz and wide sound-stage
- N50 strong magnetic circuit for to deliver impactful sound
- Brass stabilizing ring to lower the distortion
It’s a great driver and we’ve seen it at work, with great results, in the EN700 Pro. The question that remains is why bother adding balanced drivers, if the dynamic driver already does a great job out of the box.
Knowles Dual Balanced Armature Drivers
In addition to this dynamic driver, the EM3 adopts a Knowles dual balanced drivers : the TWKF-30017. For those familiar, it’s a driver already available in multiple IEMs such as the F9 from FiiO.
That’s basically two armature drivers merged to work as one. On paper, this should give us : extensive high-frequency, exquisite minds and overall a truly wonderful musical experience. To ensure it, Simgot adopts a triple frequency division thanks to a new in-house construction system. Check the image below for a better view.
