Today we review the Sivga P2 Pro planar magnetic semi-open-back headphone, which goes for $449 USD.
Disclaimer: The Sivga P2 Pro was sent to me by Sivga Audio. Many thanks for the opportunity. This review reflects my honest opinion as always.
About Sivga Audio
Sivga Audio is a brand from Dongguan City in China, and it was established in 2016. Sivga is an all-inclusive enterprise that combines research and development, production, and customer service. Their main focus is on creating innovative and high-quality headphones.
Their team comprises professionals with prior experience in the audio industry based in China. They follow traditional craftsmanship and use only the best natural solid wood when making the housing for their products.
There are many reviews of Sivga Audio on popular sites like Head-Fi, Reddit, and Amazon. Their Phoenix model was the first product that gained popularity, and then other models came along.
I reviewed their SV023 headphone in 2022. You can check that out just above.

The metallic components are meticulously developed through high-precision CNC machining and finished with a surface gunmetal oxidation treatment, enhancing both durability and aesthetic appeal.

Package, Design, Build
The P2 Pro arrives in a sturdy cardboard box, accompanied by a high-quality brown leather carrying bag. Inside, you’ll find a carrying pouch, a cable adapter (4.4mm to 3.5mm), and the stock cable, with no additional accessories included. The leather carrying bag stands out for its excellent craftsmanship and premium feel, leaving a strong first impression.
Visually, the P2 Pro is just as captivating as Sivga’s previous offerings. It heavily resembles one of their earlier models like the Aiva. The genuine wood earcups, along with the metal grill and headband, exude a luxurious aesthetic that blends vintage charm with modern sophistication. This design language, characteristic of Sivga Audio, is reflected in the P2 Pro, offering a unique and appealing look. However, the old-school vibe might appeal more to those with a taste for classic design.
The overall design shares similarities with the Apollo and SV023 models, particularly in the construction of the earcups, headbands, and other materials.
The build quality of the P2 Pro is exceptional, with no compromises evident in its construction. The headphones is remarkably well-built, with no plastic components to be found. Instead, it features a robust combination of wood and aluminium materials. The yokes and headband are crafted from durable metal, while the ear cups are made from high-quality solid wood. The overall craftsmanship reflects a high standard of quality, making the P2 Pro both sturdy and aesthetically pleasing.
Comfort
Weighing in at 435 grams, the P2 Pro is relatively lightweight for a planar headphone, especially considering its robust build. The weight distribution is well-balanced, thanks to the thoughtfully designed headband. Unlike many other headphones, the P2 Pro features a unique size adjustment mechanism: instead of sliding the earcups, you adjust the headband itself. This innovative design allows for easy adjustments even while wearing the headphones, as the headband automatically conforms to your head for a comfortable and user-friendly experience.
The earpads are made from soft velvet, offering a comfortable and secure fit for your ears. Combined with the well-balanced weight distribution and ergonomic design, the P2 Pro sits snugly on your head without causing any discomfort. The clamping force is gentle, and the well-crafted headband further enhances comfort, ensuring an enjoyable listening experience even during extended sessions.
Cable
The P2 Pro comes equipped with a 4-core 6N OCC braided cable, which is not only impeccably constructed but also aesthetically pleasing, perfectly complementing the headphone’s overall design. Sivga deserves commendation for this attention to detail. A well-made cable is a crucial component for both headphones and IEMs, and it’s encouraging to see a company prioritizing this aspect.
The cable is terminated with a 4.4mm jack, and Sivga thoughtfully includes adapters for different scenarios, such as a 6.3mm adapter for full-size amplifiers. The headphone end of the cable uses 3.5mm connectors, allowing for easy compatibility with aftermarket cables if desired.
