KEF R3 Meta

KEF R3 META [Added 11/10/2024]

This review has been very special to me. I am a big fan of KEF’s house sound ever since I was able to hear them for the first time. The R3 Meta is everything. It is fun, detailed, holographic and so amazingly beautiful in tone.

The R3 Meta is a monitor with heaps of details and balance, that can also turn into a superbly fun listen, when needed. Since it has stepped into my apartment, I have been enjoying my music on a whole new level. Exploring music that I have not listened to in too long, while also giving me different ways to explore my current playlists.

KEF has created an impressive monitor that’s setting the bar very high for its competition. It is a master of every genre, but it sounds especially fun with IDM, Electronica, Rock and Synth 80’s. For my personal taste, it is perfect.

Arendal 1723 Monitor THX

Arendal Sound 1723 Monitor THX [Added 09/12/2024]

The Arendal Sound 1723 Monitor THX bookshelf speakers are a highly capable set of speakers that excel in bass depth, vocal clarity, treble extension, and overall precision. They offer a very transparent sound that reveals the quality of the recording—good tracks sound incredible, while poorly mastered ones are laid bare in their flaws. Their dynamic range and agility make them suitable for a wide range of genres, from electronic to rock, and their ability to function as both Hi-Fi and home cinema speakers is impressive.

For those who prioritize precision, clarity, and deep bass, the 1723 Monitor THX bookshelf speakers offer incredible value, but they do come with some trade-offs in terms of emotional warmth and soundstage immersion.

The Arendal Sound 1723 Monitor THX is a speaker that can become many things. It is perfect for home cinemas and HiFi listening, but I can also picture it in semi-professional recording studios. The rumble, high resolution and vocal clarity are excellent for home cinemas in my opinion. They offer insanely good value for the money, and it is hard to ignore how impressive they sound. For anyone who might see him/herself in this description above, do give the Arendal a try!

DALI Rubikore 2

DALI Rubikore 2 [Added 01/09/2024]

With the Rubikore 2, DALI has created an exemplary speaker that delivers on all fronts. It sounds fantastic and, on top, looks the same as well. The Rubikore 2 will have no problem gaining popularity in my opinion. It is a wonderfully tuned speaker that just sounds – for the lack of a better word – musical throughout.

The Rubikore 2 has excellent bass portrayal, mid-range warmth and a soft, yet extended treble. No matter the genre I throw at it, the Rubikore throws it masterfully back at me. It is versatile and engaging. The Rubikore 2 nails acoustics, Rock, Jazz, IDM, Ambient, 80’s and Grunge alike without necessarily needing a sub-woofer. DALI’s Rubikore 2 fully deserves all the praise, as it offers great value for the money in a compact format.

Radiant Acoustics Clarity 6.2

Radiant Acoustics Clarity 6.2  [Added 22/02/2025]

For their size and price, the Radiant Acoustics Clarity 6.2 delivers highly impressive sound with astonishing detail and low-end extension. It’s powerful, energetic and precise, coupled with an organic midrange and delicate treble. The Clarity 6.2 is excellent for any genre, but I clearly enjoyed them most with complex music, where detail and precision matter most. Its clean and polished sound just made those tracks even more fascinating.

However, the Radiant Acoustics Clarity 6.2 masters anything I throw at it and does so without ever breaking a sweat, or worse, distorting at any frequency. It’s pure, clean, dynamic and fun at all times. And you can crank them up if you really want to go full throttle. These will never leave the impression of raising their own stress-level. The Clarity 6.2 just keeps going strong.

For me, the Clarity 6.2 serves as my personal gatekeeper for speakers of up to €6.000 Euro. Yes, they punch at least into this territory, if not higher. The Clarity 6.2 is the defining speaker to beat in its category and has very quickly become one of my favorite bookshelf speakers available. It is a new Recommended Buy Award winner, and the Clarity 6.2 is now featured on our Best Speaker List!

Chapeau Radiant Acoustics!

DALI Epikore 3

DALI Epikore 3 [Added 12/01/2025]

The Epikore 3 is one of the finest bookshelf speakers I have ever heard. It delivers on all fronts but convinces most with its realism and lush midrange that lets me enjoy my music to the fullest. I have not found a single genre the Epikore can’t master. For that versatility and impressive sound, I cannot recommend it enough, if your wallet supports it.

During the last weeks the Epikore 3 has excelled in all aspects. Its natural, rich and warm sound is perfect to breathe life into music and to just sit back and let it take you away. It is like watching a sunset on the beach, you can’t help but smile and enjoy.

DALI’s Epikore 3 is an example of how good sound in a small form factor can be and should be recognized for its impeccable design and quality. To me, the Epikore 3 is a masterpiece with flawless sound and build quality. Sure, they come with a big price tag, but the DALI Epikore 3 is so damn worth it and one of the best bookshelf loudspeakers I ever had the pleasure of hearing.

The Epikore 3 is an epochal loudspeaker and should be on everybody’s watch-list who is looking for a summit-fi stand-mount speaker.
