As promised and explained earlier, we’ll be doing a year long of weekly giveaways and last September was the start of our 52-week celebration. For this 47th round of the biggest audio giveaway the world has ever seen, we’re giving away a set of the Hifiman Ananda headphones!! The Headphone is worth $999USD! This incredible headphone can become yours and all you have to do is … sign up and leave a comment saying what your age is.
But first, let’s look at Hifman and the Ananda you can win.
About Hifiman
Hifiman over the last years has quickly become a personal audio brand everyone knows and talks about. They offer a whole range of products for every budget and they strive to continuously extend, improve and update their product line-up.
Hifiman is on full speed and they recently have released a series of new models such as the HE-1000SE, HE6SE, the R2R2000 DAP/streamer, the Arya, the Ananda and even the JADE II electrostat setup. Hifiman is also strongly focusing on the future with wireless connectivity and while I was skeptic about it, the wireless Ananda really impressed my at the High End show in Munich where Mr. Bian let me listen to it.
I have to admit I’m a fan of Hifiman’s headphones and they have produced several fantastic sounding ones over the years such as the HE-500, HE-6, HE-1000, HE-560, HE-400i, Edition X, etc etc etc. I couldn’t possible choose only one favourite Hifiman but the ones I tend to use most are the Ananda, HE-1000SE, Jade II and the HE6SE.
The Ananda
The Ananda is one of Hifiman’s latest open-back planar headphones and it is designed to maximize the performance of any personal audio source, especially smartphones and tablets. To do so the open-back Ananda features a high sensitivity, ultra-thin diaphragm. Ananda’s rating of 103dB guarantees that it will provide consistently low distortion high-fidelity output when used with a smartphone, let alone current and upcoming high-resolution digital audio players and home audio systems.

The word ‘Ananda’ is derived from the Sanskrit term for ‘bliss,’ which according to Hifiman is what this headphone will bring to anybody who enjoys audiophile-grade performance, no matter the source.

Winner
The lucky winner will get his/her unit shipped directly by Hifiman. Hifiman will cover the shipping fee of the headphone to you but neither Headfonia or Hifiman will cover any other expenses such as VAT, import fees, tax, etc. This is all the winner’s responsibility so if you’re not up for that, it’s best not to enter. Hifiman also won’t lower the unit’s value for shipping.
