OHM AIR Podcast: Get Out Your Headphones

Disclaimer: Headfonia is not directly related to Ohm Image. Yes, Nathan is a writer here but we don’t mix up our businesses. I do however want to share this as I’m a big fan.

Ohm Image has just released it’s first podcast. I listened to it this morning and I have to say I enjoyed it.

In this first Episode Lachlan Tsang of www.lachlanlikesathing.com costars. It’s a vicarious trip through audiophile hate points like BEATS BY DRE, BOSE, and the iPod. (For the interested, we take on which alcohols are good for writing.)

It looks like it’s going to be an interesting series of “Behind the audio and review scene” chats and I’ll definitely be checking them all out.

Ohm Image hasn’t given too many hints about the upcoming episodes but I think it’s ok for me to announce that yours truly will be joining Nathan in the upcoming episode.

I’m excited!

Patrick, I hope you could hear something through all my stammering. A new episode should be up early next week… and then the week after that. Be sure to listen and comment. Headfonia’s L will show up sooner rather than later, too.

Don’t worry Nathan even yet, it is an interesting and great podcast. It had it up and downs – especially the episode where the audioquality suffered from N/A. Source.

I bought the new Bose SoundTrue Around Ear and On Ear – both are abysmal in HF rolloff as well as being extremely uneven in freq. balance. I don’t see Bose doing anything good in headphones. I bought a Bose SoundLink Mini speaker, which has the first real bass I’ve heard from a speaker of that size. Unfortunately, the bass is so boosted that it makes the mids thick, not to mention distorts a lot.

And there is the balance, right there!
