Bundle
Inside the box
The Hidizs MP145 comes with a regular bundle, reminiscent of its entry/mid-level positioning. In the box, you get:
- the Hidizs MP145
- 1x high-purity silver plated single-crystal copper wire mixed with 4 strands (3.5mm or 4.4mm, I got the 3.5mm)
- 9 sets of eartips (S/M/L)
- a travel pouch made of pleather
- three sets of nozzle (balanced or bass)
- a warranty card
A basic bundle but the travel pouch is really nice!
Additional accessories
There are two things you could get for your Hidizs MP145:
- first, a good source like a DAC/AMP or a DAP, I’d suggest something small and simple like the FiiO KA13 or the new Hidizs S9 Pro Plus
- second, a balanced cable, or just take the 4.4mm Pentaconn version during check-out.
So, time to check the specs!
Specifications
For the nitpickers and nerdy ones here, I’m giving the specs and technical sheets. For all the others, you can just go to the next page to see how the Hidizs MP145 performs.
Customized “FAST” 14.5mm Planar Magnetic Driver + custom nozzles
With the Hidizs MP145, the brand introduces a whole new planar setup, boasting a set of 7+7 N52H magnets, assembled in a fully symmetrical magnetic circuit, to ensure low harmonic distortion, enhanced magnetic circuit efficiency, and a magnetic flux of close to 1 Tesla. A massive driver – 14.5mm wide – that should be able to output massive lows, once properly driven.
In addition to that, the MP145 introduces a whole new vent system, inspired by the whale’s breathing. In fact, these vents should be able to optimize the airflow within the earphone cavity, enhancing transparency and balance of the sound, so that the listener coils experience “deep, immersive bass and soaring highs”. We’ll see that in real-life situations.
Last but not least, the Hidizs MP145 also comes with a swappable nozzle, and a complete set of sound-tuning eartips, much like the latest Shanling and FiiO’s:
- Silver ring / Balanced nozzle: the basic one, for those who like their sound unaltered;
- Red ring / Low-frequency nozzle: bass boost, for an improved mid-bass kick and extended sub-bass reach;
- Silver ring / High-frequency nozzle: high boost, for improved high-mids and highs, if you want to reach the summit.
H-2019 Target curve and live sound tuning
With their MP145, Hidizs decided to match the H-2019 target curve – the famous Harman Curve for those oblivious to it. A frequency chart that should give you the same audio sensation of a “flat speaker in a studio environment”, but through your headphones. And, whether you like it or not, it’s still a good base for many manufacturers, who try to stick as close as possible to the curve.
On paper, this should give the MP145 an enhanced soundstage, “providing a captivating sense of space akin to being at a live concert, allowing listeners to discern a wider range of music intricacies”. A bold promise, so I’m even more curious to try them now. But, before that, let’s check the full specs.

not good review.
