The Porta-KSC75

Adhisan, a local forum member, showed me his Koss KSC75. It’s a oKSC75 with a Porta-Pro style frame. The frame is a knock-off design of the original PortaPro. Surprisingly, it’s plug-and-play with the KSC75 housing.

You can use the PortaPro frame with the better driver KSC35, too. If only Koss still makes these clipon phone. It's more neutral as in less bass bloat compared to the PortaPro and the worst of them KSC75.

I guess I forgot to add that the whole point of this mod is that the Portapro clone costs only $5, and that it's a cheap way to get Portapro headband, which works better for some people than the original KSC75 clip.

    very nice photos mike.. 😀

actually i got the porta-frame headphone information from my friend @ indonesian forum kaskus.us audio sub forum.. and after he post it,, the headphone become "most wanted" n little hard to find,, im very lucky to get mine,, the seller where i buy it said that mine is the last stock..

anyway the headband not just changes the way it looks n comfort but also changes the overall sq,, it brings the overall warmness that the stock ksc75 lacks 😀

I hope, with publications like this, the price won't go up 🙁

I tried this at home with a genuine PortaPro frame and a KSC75 and I was unimpressed. The headband shrinks the soundstage and makes the bass boomier.
