Look & Feel And Presentation
This is the biggest cable of the bunch. It is a 4 braid cable with a big and loose sleeve. It has a big splitter located 30cm from the Audez’e connectors. This also is the heaviest and least comfortable cable of them all. When I say that I’m exaggerating as this cable still isn’t heavy or uncomfortable. The other ones just are lighter and smaller.
The big 4 braid looks impressive. The cable splitter is on the larger size and it’s not light. Don’t get me wrong as it’s not heavy but you can feel the weight of it when using the cable (you can feel it pulling down). Like the other cables it came with its personal warranty card in an eco friendly bag. A very nice presentation.
Excellent of course. It’s the most impressive cable of the bunch and the cable and the adapters were made with precision. The classiest looking cable of all.
Customization & Options
You can choose the Connector (we chose Audez’e), Termination Type and Length
The 4 braid sleeved version we have with the balanced Neutrik and Audez’e termination costs 229€ or $310USD without the two supplementary adapters. For the product and quality you are getting I expected a much higher price point, close to double its price now.
I’m repeating myself here but the clarity, detail and sound stage are very good and much better than with the stock cable. Biggest body in bass and midrange in the whole test was achieved with this cable. The silver Effect Audio cable has the edge over this cable looking at clarity, details and vocals but this cable has the biggest bass, smoothest mid and sounds most musical for me.
This TOTL Forza cable cable sounds and looks gorgeous. I prefer to combine it with the LCD-2, it makes it rock! It has become my favorite cable to use with the Lcd-2 especially because of the bass and its sound stage. I will soon be getting the Audez’e LCD-XC. I wonder which of all these cables will sound best with that headphone.
Conclusion Part 2: TOTL cables for Audez’e and Hifiman
In contrast to the first category the cables in Part 2 weren’t of the same type: silver/copper vs pure silver. Both TOTL cables are great and you can clearly see and hear why there is a difference in price. Just like before, they sound both excellent with their own characteristics and there is no best cable. My HE-500 has always had the Silver Effect audio cable connected to it ever since I tested them all and my LCD-2 has been using the Forza Audioworks cable ever since. I boils down to your personal preferences but both cables sound really good.
