Look & Feel And Presentation
A 4 braid flexible cable with a grey-brown look. It’s very light and thin. The braid is quite loose but this makes the cable very flexible to put in your pocket.
I find this to be the best made cable from Effect Audio. It has a simple yet very effective splitter 30cm from the top of the cable and the connectors have the Effect logo printed on them together with a R/L sign. They can be used for IEMs with recessed sockets as well. The part that goes over your ear has a sort of see-trough heat shrink over it keeping the earpieces in the perfect place. Because of this the cable is always nicely position around my ears and it isn’t sticking out. Love it.

If you have read the previous parts you know that this cable shines with bass, clarity, vocals and treble. That is exactly the reason why this IEM cable is my fav cable when using the Cosmic Ears BAF4. They already have smooth mids and are more recessed in the treble region so these two make a perfect couple. Together with the 1964Ears V6S which has forward vocals and extended treble the sound became a bit too forward with this cable for my liking.
While the stock cable of the Cosmic Ears was already very good I haven’t used it since I received this Thor upgrade cable. It makes the BA4F an even better custom IEM than it was. It’s a perfect combination and the cable is absolutely worth its price tag.
