As promised and explained earlier, we’ll be doing a year long of weekly giveaways and last September was the start of our 52-week celebration. The seventh unit for the biggest audio giveaway the world has ever seen, is the AudioQuest DragnFly RED and it can become all yours. All you have to do is… sign up! But first, let’s look at AudioQuest DragonFly RED!!
About AudioQuest
AudioQuest is a US based company and the EU headquarters is located in the Netherlands. AudioQuest since the 1980’s is mostly known for their cables but they became even more popular among “head-fiers” when they released a very popular mini USB DAC/AMP called the DragonFly.
The AudioQuest DragonFly RED isn’t “new” in the sense that the original multi-award-winning version was launched a long time ago in 2012 already. In the meantime that original version has been replaced by the DragonFly V1.2 which at his turn now has been replaced by both the DragonFly Red V1.0 and Black V1.5.
So the new Black and Red units actually are the 3rd and 4th version already of AudioQuest’s popular DragonFly series. I have to say that the DragonFly from the original version up to now has grown on me and the RED version’s quality actually is very impressive to me at this stage.

Did you know that ever since the DragonFLy RED came out it has been in our monthly top 10 each and every month? That’s impressive! It shows that the DF Red is a budget friendly and very well sounding unit.

I really, really, really luv to have this, esp the AQ Red Dragonfly.
Why? Because it’s does MQA, it plugs into my Android, my iPad, my notebook and even my old PC next to my stereo. Instantly I get HIGH Fidelity!
1 DAC to rule them all? Maybe not but pretty close. Can’t carry a dCS DAC in my pocket but I can carry a Dragonfly always.
