For the nit-pickers and nerdy ones here, I’m giving the specs and technical sheets. For all the others, you can just go to the next page to see how the AirPods Pro 2 performs.

SIP and H2 Chip

Unlike your classic audio brand, Apple is not keen to display what’s inside their products – but will extensively show the effects.

What we know is that iFixit, once again, gave them a 0/10 repair score. Hurray… The only inner view you’ll get is found on the Apple website, or on iFixit where they give you a super cool 360 X-Ray view of the product.

From this, you have two options :

• you can yell at Apple, for making such a complicated, unbearably awful to open earphone,
• or you can be amazed, to see how much technology they fitted inside those cheap-looking white ears

The driver is a proprietary dynamic one, paired with a microphone to adjust the level and frequencies automatically while you listen to your music. All those calculations are made by the new H2 chip, which is allegedly twice faster, and a new amplifier that delivers crisp, clear high notes and deep, rich bass in stunning definition — so every sound is more vivid than ever…

A big upgrade compared to the first gen, which came with the same driver embedded in all lower models, whereas this new model benefits from real audio upgrades.

Again, we are talking about real-time adaptive sound correction, which is a prowess even with higher-end models.

Noise Cancelling and Transparency mode

As I told you, the Noise Cancelling produced by the AirPods Pro 2 is nothing short of amazing, but there are more options.

If the Transparency mode is not a novelty, my old Bragi Dash already had this option back in the time, it’s still a cool option to have. Basically, once you activate the option, you’ll hear everyone outside as if you were not wearing your AirPods. It’s as good as the noise-cancelling option and I’m sure some of you will keep the ears in all day long, thanks to that option.

Like the Noise-Cancelling, the Transparency mode makes use of the powerful SOC to check, 48 000 times per second, if all is well. The dual-microphone does a superb job, and this is the best transparency experience I tried up to this day, again. No Larsen, no high-pitched sounds, just an open sound with my music in the background.

Damn you Apple, it’s so good that I feel bad now !
