If you haven’t seen the big Beyerdynamic contest yet, you should go to my-headphone.com immediately and participate. What’s all the fuzz about you ask?
Beyerdynamic decided to launch a contest in where everyone can create and submit a design of how you think the Beyerdynamic Custom One Pro should look like. The winning design(er) get his headphone for real plus an amazing 1.000€. The winning design will also be released as a very limited edition.
It’s very easy to make a design and who doesn’t want to win 1.000€ doing something cool. Mike and me already made our design so you better get creative as the contest is closing on October 18.

I’d love to buy a custom design, but not if it’s just plain. The one I have has the cool red lettering on the earcups, so if they jazz that up a bunch, they might make another sale. Maybe Beyer should pick the top 3 or 4 and offer all of those as custom models for sale.

Those guys at Beyer are pretty sharp – they could sniff a real winner in the C.O.P., it being a smooth sound that doesn’t offend, very comfy, modular, customizable, built-in bass boost etc. etc. I know it’s not super-fi, but it never sounds less than good no matter what else is available.

For me the optional Soviet Red Star faceplate is the best looking COP. The current favourite ones in the competition are a bit too flower power.

I was hyped then I found out that we can’t really make our own design. It’s just slapping together a bunch of pre-made items. Such a turn off.

No problem : ) Thanks for your point of view, i really wanted to face the number one orange, with an more ecological aspect. it takes me about 2 hours to make it ahaha, i’m jobless so i would really want to grab the reward : )
