Blog: High End Munich 2019 – Picture Report Part 2

High End Munich. My favorite show of the year! Why is that you say? Well, it has all the brands that really matter, all the product launches, it’s not too crowded and you get to see all your audio friends again. Oh and to get there we have 700 kilometers of unlimited German Autobahn. The pics in this report are from the gear that really caught our attention at the High End show. It’s not realistic to cover all the personal audio gear, and it’s a complete mission impossible to cover everything

As usual this will be a picture report of the show, in alphabetical order, split over two parts as there are around 200 pictures: Eye candy à volonté. Enjoy!

This is PART 2 of the picture report. Part 1 can be found here: https://www.headfonia.com/high-end-munich-2019-1/

Jericho

Not really a headphone amp but gosh this is a beautiful tube amp. Bird cage included

KECES

I like the brand and what they’re doing. Unfortunately there this year is nothing new in regards to personal audio but they still have a great power cleaner

As well as a lovely headphone AMP/DAC, the S3

Kennerton Audio Equipment

I love the ODIN’s sound and I still owe you the THROR review but Kennerton has so much new gear coming up. I listened to several prototypes and they all really impressed me

Did you know they also have a small tube amp?

Valentin also let me listen to the Kennerton JORD and it sounds incredible for a closed entry-fi headphone, I did not see that coming. It’s also very foldable and indestructible.

And then there were these two test models which I also really loved

If you have the opportunity to listen to the MAGNI, make sure you do as it sounds incredibly open for a closed headphone. And then the headphone on the right…. keep following HFN, it’ll be worth it.

And then there is this Fischer Audio M12S which will be very affordable and it has a great price/quality ratio. They also showed me a prototype universal IEM and that one will blow away the competition if they manage to keep the price around $500USD.

King Sound

Electrostats anyone?

That 04 has the looks and sound

And there’s the miniature sized portable electrostat amp

Lake People

The parent company of Violectric took the full stack to the show. Great gear for more affordable prices.

Lehmann Audio

It’s always nice seeing Mr. Lehmann at the shows, he’s so passionate.

The wood  is really pretty but more important, their amps are incredibly well engineered. And then there’s the Chrome finish

The newest thing? The DAC addition to the Drachenfels D amplifier. Soon on HFN!

Hi Lieven, thanks for posting a picture of one of our Spirit Torino headphones on your Part 2 Munich High End report. Just for the record, the model in the picture is a single driver Superleggera, not a Twin Pulse. You can check out the different models on our website, if you so wish. Cheers!

I think IEM cables will be the next big thing.
