Blog: High End Munich & Canjam Europe 2018 – Picture Report Part 2

This is Part 2 of the High End Munich and Canjam Europe 2018 show report, you can find Part 1 right HERE.

iBasso

They weren’t at the show but I saw many people walking around with the DX200 to try out gear. The mist unique was this “golden” limited edition of the DX200

iFi

Great company, great people and they had a lot to show with them.

The USB Noise filter is not directly my thing, but he iEMatch really is handy in certain situations

The AC iPurifier didn’t do anything audible in my system at home as I have balanced power lines but my colleague loves them

Of course everyone knows the Black iFi gear like the Nano and the iDSD

But everyone really wanted to see and try out the xDSD and the xCAN. Review soon.

And if you get he chance you really have to listen to the full iFi stack

iFi also surprised us with something completely new. An all in one system that adapts the sound based on its environment. I heard it play and it’s quite nice. There’s no name yet, but it surely looks beautiful

Spirit Soundesign

If I’m not mistaken, this unique looking headphone with serial number 029 was made by the Italian company and the headphone is called the Spirit Torino. I didn’t get to listen to it though and that is a shame as I am curious about heir Twin Pulse technology.

JDSLabs

I actually spotted only one Element at the Canjam building and it’s such a shame as it’s a really excellent piece of gear

Keces

It’s mostly been Dave that has been reviewing the Keces gear here on the site. He liked both the S3 DAC/AMP as well as the BP-1200 power cleaner.

Kennerton

A top quality headphone from Russia. The Odin is really nice but once you’ve heard the new Thor, you’ll really be blown away

I really hope they’ll be sending me over the new one to review and compare it to the former flagship.

Next to their headphone line-up, they were also showing a new headphone stand with integrated tube amp. An interesting idea

KingSound

You don’t often see them around these parts but they have some really good sounding gear

I especially like the M03 portable amp

LakePeople

The main brand above Violectric. We’ve covered many of their products such as the RS-06, RS-02, RS-08 and G109S. This year there so far wasn’t really anything new to report about

Lieven is living in Europe and he's the leader of the gang. He's running Headfonia as a side project next to his full time day job in Digital Marketing & Consultancy. He's a big fan of tube amps and custom inear monitors and has published hundreds of product reviews over the years.

Did you listen to the Questyle CMA400i? Hearing a lot of praise about it, but sadly no comment from you under the picture 🙁

It is warmer and less offensive than the cma600i. But I am not a fan of questyle amps.
